Overview
BudgetPulse respects your privacy. BudgetPulse is designed to keep your financial information private and primarily stored on your device, whether you use the iOS app or the Android app.
Information Stored
BudgetPulse may store budget accounts, expenses, income, categories, recurring entries, receipt scan text, extracted receipt data, calendar sync information, app preferences, app lock settings, backup settings, and subscription status.
Data Storage
Your budget data is stored locally on your device using the storage technologies provided by iOS or Android. If you choose to use backup, restore, export, or share features, files may be saved to locations you select, such as iCloud Drive, Apple Files, Google Drive, Android file storage, or another location available on your device. You control where backups are saved. BudgetPulse does not operate external company servers for your budget data.
Calendar Access
If enabled, BudgetPulse may access your device calendar to create or manage budget-related calendar events. Calendar access is optional and can be disabled at any time in your device settings or within BudgetPulse settings when available.
Camera Access
BudgetPulse may use your camera for receipt scanning. Receipt images and scanned data remain on your device unless you choose to export, share, or back them up.
App Lock, Face ID, Biometrics, and PIN Security
BudgetPulse may support PIN lock, Face ID on supported iOS devices, and Android biometric/device lock options on supported Android devices. These security features are handled locally through your device and are not transmitted to BudgetPulse servers.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Subscriptions and payments are processed securely by the store used for your device, such as Apple through the App Store or Google through Google Play. BudgetPulse does not directly collect or store payment card information.
Third-Party Services
BudgetPulse may rely on Apple services, Google services, and device operating-system services, including App Store subscriptions, Google Play billing, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Apple Calendar, Google/Android calendar features, Face ID, Android biometrics, notifications, local device storage, and file access. These services are governed by their own policies and terms.
Data Sharing
BudgetPulse does not sell your personal information.
Children’s Privacy
BudgetPulse is not intended for children under 13 years old.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
